A Lovely Day

After a full week of nothing but rain, clouds and grey skies, we were met with a lovely surprise of a 65 sunny degree day. Oh it was a lovely day. Kev and I enjoyed the day outside then took a nice long stroll on the beach. A beautiful way to end our weekend. Here a few pictures from our walk along the beach and.. a few baby bump pics:) 6 months. eek! and Baby Boy is getting big!

Kicks.

I had my Dr's appointment on Monday and the midwife said we should be feeling the baby kick any day now. I mean, I've been feeling him flutter around my belly for a while, but to actually put our hands on my belly and feel his kicks? Wow. That will be awesome. Well, today was that awesome day. I got to work, sat down and starting really feeling him kick around. More than ever before so I looked down at my tummy and no kidding, it started to 'hiccup' in the spot he kicked each time! I couldn't believe it. Words can't even begin to explain the thoughts and feelings that went through my head! Paul felt him kick too. It was incredible. My favorite moment to date. All day long Sprout has been kicking, kicking, kicking. I figure now is the best time to enjoy and smile about his kicks considering soon, they will actually start to hurt. ha.

I'm so in love with this day and my precious baby boy.

Hope you are all having a great day!

Monday Monday

I've been lacking motivation to post any updates as of late. My parents left on Thursday after a three week stay. Sad. Minnie was depressed the first two days they left- she didn't even get up from her blankie when a french fry fell on the floor- for Minnie, that's major. Paisley woke up each morning and kept scouring the house looking for mom and dad. My darling sprout went on a two day rest with barely any movement. Sigh. Yes. We ALL miss them. We had such a great time though. With all the activities going on I didn't take as many pictures as I'd hoped and I'd rather not bombard you with the ones I have all at once, so look for some up coming posts on their visit and the fun time spent in Homer and Anchorage.

In baby news.
Sprout is now 22 weeks old and weighing in at 1 pound!!

The size of a papaya! Whoa. Some days he is very active and I feel him all day long. Even though I tend to feel less than great on those days, they are my favorite. I am giddy every single time he moves. He is now able to hear outside noise so Kevin and I are spending more and more time talking to my belly as the days go on.
Shellea's brother's sweet baby girl was born last Wednesday. Eden Trammell. She was born three weeks early due to a kidney complication. The day after she arrived she underwent kidney surgery- originally the Doctors were going to take out her entire Kidney but through tons of prayers and God's grace they only needed to remove 40% of one Kidney. Bless God. What a little fighter.

Update

I can't believe I'm already 5 months along! Where did the last four months go?? Soon, I'll be sitting in the hospital kissing my precious boy for the first time.

What is 20 weeks along looking like? Well... At the Dr's I discovered I have a total weight gain of... 13lbs. whoa.
I went from looking like this:

To THIS in the matter of days:

I can officially say my baby bump has popped out! holy moly. At 19 weeks I couldn't wait to pop out and now I'm thinking "just how big am I going to get???" haha. Oh I love it though and Kev just adores my ever changing figure.

A few new cravings to report:

sour skittles

mustard

mango's

I am still in awe that in four months my entire life will change forever. I talk to my sweet baby boy all the time and seriously cannot wait to hold him. I got a ridiculous amount of baby clothes at a garage sale put on by one of Shellea's friends. The gal took way good care of the clothes and each piece-- 25 cents!!! what?! I know. SO awesome. It was SO to fun going through all the boxes and picking out what we wanted. I ordered bedding and have three paint colors to choose from this week. The nursery will be put together before we know it. yay!

Sedona Hiking

A couple of weeks ago we took a mini day trip to Sedona to hike Devil's Bridge. A natural bridge formed from the red rocks- these pictu...
