The Future Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Oh Sweet Engagement!
We knew for quite some time that Paul would propose to Shellea and knew it would be incredible but seeing them both together as future hubby and wifey is simply amazing. I love it!!
Paul was extra thoughtful and took Shellea to a beach in Seward (about 2 hrs from where we live) with ocean in background he got down on one knee and asked the big question. Lucky for us he video taped the entire proposal on his camera (Shellea thought they were taking a picture) ha! love it. We anxiously awaited their arrival with champagne and hugs.
*unfortunately I don't have any good up close pictures of Shellea's beautiful rock... pictures coming soon*

Love.

THREE YEARS!!

I love this day.

This is the day I became Mrs. Hilton.

Today I woke up to a dozen red roses, a card and kisses from my husband. He is the best man I've ever known. In the last 3 years my love for him has grown to a deeper, more amazing place than I could have ever imagined. Everyday our life together gets better and better.

Over the last 7 months, the Lord has given me such an incredible understanding of who I am, who Kevin is and what our marriage is.

Marrying Kevin is the greatest blessing the Lord has given me.

Happy 3rd Anniversary to my amazing Husband!! I love you Kevin- more than I could ever say in words. MUAH!!! XOXO

Snow

The neighborhood has filled with men on snow plows, young bows shoveling drive ways, children building snowmen and women fixing hot cocoa.
You guessed it- First Snowfall of the Winter!!
My anticipation of snow has finally turned into pure excitement. I feel like a kid again. Except in my kid world, I am snuggled up to a hot fire with my hubby, sipping on delicious coffee splashed with a hint of baileys... I smile every time I look outside. The snow is cheerful.

Minnie's new Winter long johns.. she hates them but doesn't she look cute! ha.

Halloween

I'm not going to say Kevin and I were total poor sports this year for Halloween, but we did bail out last minute on a Halloween party (that we asked to go to) and Kevin did say he wanted to be the 'Grinch of Halloween'.. but despite all that, we had one of my most favorite Halloweens to date. We spent the evening trick or treating with darling girl, Abigail. She was Alice- and she was adorable. Kevin and I drove her to the 'hot' neighborhood in Kenai and walked the streets making sure she hit all the most promising looking homes. Two middle school boys decided to tag along with us too. One of the boys turned to Kevin after about 20 minutes and says "I hope it's not weird we are following you, I just don't feel comfortable trick or treating without an adult" ok. first. Kevin and I are adults? When did THAT happen? And two. That was the cutest statement coming from a middle school boy dressed up like a gorilla... so yes you can follow us- just don't ask to date my 'niece'. :)

Abbie got herself a good amount of candy and reassured us she WOULD NOT eat all of it that night.

Paul and Shellea went to the Halloween party dressed in 70's attire. Paul meant to be Ron Burgundy but I think he nailed 'KEN SMITH' instead...

Here are a few pictures of two of the cutest Alaskan boys ever. Sammy and Tommy (Shellea's nephews).. Tin man and a piece of cake. Simply adorable.

Happy Halloween!!!

Turned 26 this year.

Well it happened. I turned 26. Oct. 29th was the big day.. and it was great. I love my family and friends. To kick of my birthday celebration, I was delivered a bouquet of flowers and a "Happy Birthday" balloon to work on Thursday- Thanks Mom and Dad!!! Friday morning I was treated to Reese's peanut butter cups (pictures above) a vanilla latte and a surprise scone- complements of Paul, Abigail and Julie. Spending the rest of the afternoon with Kev, dinner at St. Elias followed by drinks at Mykels was the perfect way to spend the day. I'm excited for this year and what it will bring me. I love my family and friends and couldn't be happier with my life. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes and gifts.

And of course, One Picture of The Birthday Girl.

Dear Mom.

Dear Mom,

Even though I just saw you, I wish we were still together. You are my best friend and the woman I look up to the most. I pray every day that the Lord strengthen my walk continually, bless me in his entirety and keeps my family walking on the straight and narrow- just the way he has for you. I love you so much and miss you ALL the time. I cannot wait to see you and Dad in December. Hope you have a great day today. I love you!!!

The better part of October was spent hanging out with my Mom who flew up here for a 10 day visit! The morning of her arrival I woke up with butterflies- I know, I know... I'm almost 26 but it's my Mom! She's my best friend and I hadn't seen her since July (which is the longest I've ever gone without seeing my Mom) so, I was just a TAD bit excited to see her.

She looked SO cute coming off the plane in her bright pink fleece (which I'm pretty sure she bought for me and remained mine until she found out how comfy it was) :)

There were no real big activities planned out for her visit, instead we did everday stuff- cooked meals, shopped, went wagging, saw movies, had drinks, ate WAY too many sweets, had bible studies and celebrated her Birthday- which is today, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! I did my best not to hog all of her attention, even though I could have.. easily.

I cried when I had to say goodbye. It doesn't matter how old or young you are- saying goodbye to your Mom sucks. plain and simple. I speak for everyone when I say, It was the BEST having you here Mom and we cannot wait for the next visit.. coming up soon!

Happy Birthday Paul!!

Paul's Birthday Celebration!!!!!
Well. Paul turned the big 2 8 on Sept. 30th and I have to say- it was a celebration for everyone! Shellea and I planned a small surprise birthday dinner/party for him consisting of a prime rib dinner, ice cream cake, great friends and lots of gifts!! The celebration continued on with a weekend spent in Anchorage- we had the most yummy dinner at Orso's followed by a night of darts and shuffle board. Paul is the best brother in the world and I love him. I am so thankful Kevin and I are here in Alaska and able to spend these fun times with him.
Cheers Paul!.. to a wonderful 28!!!
